3Monitor settings
Most monitor types share the same settings. This chapter shows how often checks run, how long a check may wait, and where checks run from. It also shows how to pause, mute, plan maintenance for, test, edit and delete a monitor.
You change most of these settings on the monitor's edit page. To open it, select a monitor on the dashboard, then select Edit. You create a monitor on the same page through + new monitor.
The API examples in this chapter show only the JSON body. Chapter 13 shows how to send a call and where to get an API key. Field names in the API use camelCase, for example intervalSeconds.
